Spanning 6,000 dunams of fertile southern soil near Netivot, the moshav operates as a religious agricultural collective where tradition and industry intertwine. Its name serves as a clever linguistic tribute to Moshe Sharett, the Foreign Minister at the time of its inception, symbolizing a connection between the pioneering spirit of the early state and the deep-seated faith of its North African founders.​

Situated within the Sdot Negev Regional Council, the moshav faced the immediate terror of the Hamas-led incursions, forcing its residents to pivot from the quiet labor of harvest to the urgent demands of defense and survival.
