Wisdom Rooted in the Negev Soil
Tushia—meaning "Wisdom"—was established in 1958 as a spiritual and communal anchor just a few kilometers from the city of Netivot. Drawing its name from the verse, "He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright, He is a shield to them that walk in integrity," the village has spent over six decades fostering a life of religious devotion and mutual support. As a community settlement, it offers a more intimate, family-focused atmosphere than the larger neighboring towns, making it a unique gem within the Sdot Negev Regional Council.
The quiet life of study and agriculture in Tushia was forever changed on October 7, 2023, when the community found itself on the edge of the infiltration zones.
